Amanda Groleau, MSW
Hello! I’m Amanda Groleau, a Master’s level clinician working toward becoming a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. I received my undergraduate degree in social work from Liberty University and my master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult challenges, including substance abuse, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. My approach is rooted in empathy, aiming to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your struggles and work toward healing.
I have extensive experience working with adults (18+) seeking support for addiction recovery and emotional distress. As a child of alcoholics, I understand that addiction is a family disease. I’m dedicated to walking alongside both individuals in recovery and their loved ones, providing the tools, guidance, and encouragement necessary for lasting change. I believe that healing starts with trust and am committed to creating a space where you feel heard and supported.
In addition to my work with adults, I’ve spent several years in student ministry, gaining insight into the unique challenges teens and young adults face. I also briefly worked in private adoption, which deepened my understanding of family dynamics and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach integrates Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, empowering clients to discover their strengths and tools for growth. My relationship with the Lord shapes my life, and I am open to incorporating a Biblical perspective if it aligns with your values.
I believe in your ability to heal, change, and thrive—and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to make that first move towards healing. If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d be honored to walk with you. Please reach out to schedule a consultation.
