Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

Hi, my name is Nathanael Hibbs. I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the state of Florida, under the supervision of Amaranda Sakamoto. I received my B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina Wesleyan University, and my M.A. in Social Work from Saint Leo University.  

I have worked with kids, adolescents, and adults both in and outside of a clinical setting. Prior to working at Jacksonville Counseling Services, I worked as a baseball coach, where it was my passion to invest in my player’s lives and help them reach their goals both on and off the field. My experiences as a coach have ignited my passion to work with people of all ages to help them cope with the pressures of this life and walk alongside them as they courageously move towards growth and healing. Some treatment approaches that I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Talk Therapy, and Play Therapy with children.

The lives we live are full of twists and turns and it is easy to get lost. We often measure our worth by our perceived success and failures, which can often leave us feeling empty. If you have ever felt lost and broken, there is hope. There is hope because there is a man named Jesus who loves you simply for who you are and not what you have done. Despite the battles you are going through or what you may think of yourself when Jesus hears your name, He smiles. There is nothing he wants more than to walk alongside you through this life and to fight your battles with you.  

At the request of the client, I would be more than willing to incorporate the Christian faith into sessions. If it sounds like we would be a good fit, I would be honored to walk through your healing with you.
